The Euro tunnel with GAS IT tanks & bottles

All our GAS IT Self refillable gas bottles and gas tanks are fully Euro Tunnel compliant as they are fitted with an automatic 80% shut off valve, which will only allow our tanks and bottles to be filled to their 80% gas capacity.  We only allow gas bottles to be filled to 80% capacity to allow safe expansion of the gas when its size expands due to heat.

The same example goes for when you use to buy your exchange type gas bottles before going for GAS IT self refillable.  You bought a full bottle of gas but when you picked it up of the ground it wasn't full to the brim of gas as it use to slosh about inside the bottle in your hands.  That's because the gas bottle was filled by say Calor gas to 80% full To allow for this safe expansion space.

As all gas bottle and gas tanks are sold in their water capacity size, what sometimes does confuse GAS IT users is that the separate gas level indicators on our bottles and tanks show 100% when the gas bottle or tank is filled to is 80% gas level, but the user gas level indicator is only showing 100% of the usable gas level that the tank/ bottles been filled up to, and it's not that's it's been filled to 100%.

So for example, our 25 liter gas tanks are actually 25 litre water capacity.  The automatic shut off valves we fit to all our tanks will only allow the user to fill them to 80% gas capacity when filled with LPG/Autogas, so you can only fill a 25 litre tank with 20 litres of LPG/Autogas. 80% of 25ltrs = 20 litres.   The gas level indicator at this stage will show you 100% as the tank has been filled up to its 100% useable gas level.  When the gas is half used and there is 10 litres left, the contents gauge will show approximately 50% gas left.

So when it comes to the Euro tunnel, don't worry if the contents gauge is showing 100% full, that's your gas amount to use, not that the bottles 100% full, it's 80% full.
